Youth at Carrsview

We are always actively pursuing youth options as without youth there will be no future. It has been a couple of hard years for youth in both 2020 and 2021 as Covid19 has cancelled a lot of shows or alternatively they have had online only. We have an amazing team here at Carrsview Murray Greys that contributed to our success in Sydney in 2021. We were lucky enough to have 5 girls take part in SA Junior Heifer Expo. The girls worked hard prior to the heifer show getting their heifers ready and we were also happy to welcome back the two Wodonga girls again. They all learned a stack and came home with ribbons and happy faces.

Sydney Show 2021 was as exciting and eye opening event. We took a team of cattle and 2 of our youth members came along for the ride, as well as Mitch and Nik who flew in to help on the important show day. Taking out Reserve Champion heifer with Carrsview Kelly Q42, Ash and Bek were brilliant and both proved they're worth in the industry and we could not have done what we did without all of the members of the team. We also had a young lad called Jacob from Sydney take one of our animals in to the show ring for his handlers competition placing third.
